Paralegal
I began working with the firm in December of 2019. Before working here, I was a full-time student studying Legal Studies. The firm caught my eye because of the location as well as the practice areas. I am from Maryland and love the Annapolis area, so the location was a good fit for me and Estates and Trust was my favorite practice area while in school.
We focus on one specific practice area: the law of estates and trust. We handle the full spectrum, however, within that practice area, including estate planning, estate administration, and fiduciary litigation. The combination of narrowing the practice to estates and trusts but handling a wide range of matters within that practice area means that the entire firm can build on a broad experience in our field. Also because of the relatively small size of the firm and because of its “one-firm firm” approach, the knowledge and experience is easily shared.
We are very client focused, starting from the initial contact through to the end of the engagement. Being part of a small firm allows me to get to know our clients better, which helps me to better understand how I can help get them through this legal process, which sometimes can be very stressful for them.
I moved to Annapolis in early 2020 and before that I lived in the Glen Burnie area for 21 years. I graduated from Stevenson University in December 2019 with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies, Magna Cum Laude.
